According, Cosmopolitan, it’s the first and only holiday single to be certified diamond and how the song’s first record ranking of the 12th place on the Billboard Hot 100 list lapse since the bop has earned itself above10 million units aka Diamond certified.
So, when it comes to the genius behind the hit song, we automatically think Miss, Mariah Carey!! But apparently, that’s not fully true because on the podcast show, Hot Takes & Deep Dives With Jess Rothschild their Co-Writer/Producer Walter Afanasieff disputed and claimed that Carey fabricated the whole story.
