2020 sucks again! Today news broke during the show that legendary Van Halen guitarist Eddie Van Halen had passed away at the age of 65.
Eddie's son Wolfgang shared the news on Twitter writing, "I can't believe I'm having to write this, but my father, Edward Lodewijk Van Halen, has lost his long and arduous battle with cancer this morning. He was the best father I could ever ask for. Every moment I've shared with him on and off stage was a gift. My heart is broken and I don't think I'll ever fully recover from this loss. I love you so much, Pop."
Not only was Eddie a game-changing guitarist, but Van Halen is also a classic LA band hailing from Pasadena. It's hard to imagine such a huge band working on their craft and honing their skills in a small garage, but that's what they did.
Eddie was like an electric guitar Mozart, creating an entirely new and fresh sound. Just check out this video of him below. The man was on a whole other level, and he always looked like he was having the time of his life.
