Over the weekend Gary was feeling a bit lazy, so he left his family and decided to go for a hike alone. Nothing too crazy, just a nice day in the beautiful outdoors. Going on a hike alone isn't the best idea, but going on hike alone with no water is definitely not a good idea.
He had water, he just left it in the car and didn't bring any with him on the trail. Always bring water on the trail people! Anyway, Gary's walking along and gets to what he believes to be the end of the trail, but he sees another trail going up a hill and the adventurer in him wanted to know more.
He manages to end up on some other random trail on top of a mountain looking down. He can see where he needs to go to get back to his car, but the problem is he has no way to get down there. He's stuck. Remember, he didn't bring any water with him and has been out for about an hour.
He has to get on his butt and slide down a dusty rocky trail to get to where he's supposed to be. But then, he hears the roar of a helicopter and smells smoke. Not good! Everything turned out okay, but it was definitely an ordeal. Hike with people and hike with water! And maybe don't go out in the middle of the day too. Go in the morning or in the evening when things are a little cooler.
