The USGS reported a magnitude 5.8 earthquake this morning located up in the Owens Valley, east of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range. The quake happened around 10:40am PT and shaking was felt across Central California and even down here in SoCal.
We sure felt it in Burbank! We were in the middle of our Whatcha Watchin' segment when Laila Muhammad said, "Hey guys, we're having in earthquake." Then Shannon dropped an s-bomb (We dumped it of course, but you iHeart Radio streamers win again!) and we decided to get earthquake expert Dr. Lucy Jones on the phone to find out what's going on!
