Today's #SmallBusinessShoutout features The Junkyard Cafe in Simi Valley! We spoke to Owner Evelyn Garfield about what it was like for dine-in to be shut down during the Coronavirus stay-at-home order, and what the process has been like reopening the restaurant.

Check out our website www.thejunkyardcafe.com. There we give you just a preview of what we’ve got going. You have to show up to really GET IT. (Beware, you may show up and still not “GET IT”, some people are just too uptight.)
Take a look at our diverse menu. We bring you a great selection of delicious, fresh handmade choices. Then there is always our “Poison of the Day”, which is our daily feature. Oh, and Happy Hour Monday through Friday 2pm-6pm.
The food is awesome, the beer is always ice cold, served in 20 ounce frozen schooners, and the service is not that great.
We serve up our epicurean delights with a great attitude in a relaxed, fun environment.
Junkyard is excited to be back open, but also wants to make sure their customers and employees are safe. They're asking people with the following symptoms to please stay home:
- Cough
- Shortness of breath ordifficulty breathing
- Fever
- Chills
- Muscle pain
- Sore throat
- New loss of taste or smell
