Because of Coronavirus, this man is still stuck on a cruise ship

Ruby Princess Set To Depart Australian Waters Following Orders By Border Force

We've been curious about what's going on cruise ships lately since we're a few months into Coronavirus upending our daily lives. We got in touch with a guy named Dan Domenech, who is a performer for Princess Cruises and left a few months ago to work on the Sky Princess in The Bahamas.

Passengers have been able to return home from their cruises, but Dan and other crew members are still stuck on the ship. They've been there for nearly two months! Dan says he and nine other Americans have been stuck on the Sky Princess for nearly 40 days, and the CDC is not allowing them to leave the ship even though they are all healthy and ready to go home.

Despite understandable frustration, Dan says the Princess Cruises company has been very accommodating and has exhausted all of their efforts to get the remaining crew off the ship.

All Dan can do now is try to amplify his voice and the voices of the other people stuck on the ship to get them home. Sky Princess is currently anchored off the coast of Great Issac Cay, which is between Florida and The Bahamas. In fact, Dan says the sea looks like a parking lot right now with a bunch of other ships sitting there waiting to go home.

The ship has been making supply runs to Florida, but nobody is allowed to leave. It's getting pretty old for Dan and the rest of the crew. We chatted with Dan about how he's holding up and Gary tried to get him to sing some Les Mis songs with him. Hopefully the U.S. Government will do something soon and get these people home!
