Last Friday was KFI News reporter Kris Ankarlo's birthday! We decided to get him on the air to spread a little cheer his way, but we soon discovered that Kris hasn't been feeling well. He suspects he may have COVID-19, but has not been tested and his theory has yet to be confirmed.
I've been absent from twitter this week, b/c I've been sick. I'm 90 percent sure it's coronavirus, but haven't been able to get a test to confirm. I'm sure there are a ton of people in the same boat, the confirmed cases are but a slice of the widespread nature of this disease.
Thankfully, symptoms have been "mild": fever, chills, aches, fatigue, headache and complete loss of smell/taste. I've been in quarantine since symptom onset over weekend. I kept up social-distancing all of last week. Could've just touched the wrong surface at the wrong time.
We wished him a "Happy Birthday" and sent him on his way. Today we asked him to come back on to check in with him. He took the day off from reporting, and we were pleased to learn he's feeling a little better!
Keep it up, Kris! If you think you may be experiencing symptoms, have a listen to Kris' interview below:
