Are you looking to prevent Coronavirus but have facial hair? We have great news for you! The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, has distributed a chart of facial hair recommendations. Above, you will find the chart to help you know if your beard will interfere with a mask or not.
Clean Shaven, Soul Patch and Zorro are some of the acceptable grooming guidelines that will work with a mask. While Full bears, Long Stubble and Van Dyke will interfere with respirators and will not properly protect you.
According to the CDC:
Facial hair that lies along the sealing area of a respirator, such as beards, sideburns, or some mustaches, will interfere with respirators that rely on a tight face-piece seal to achieve maximum protection.
