CDC Releases Video Encouraging People Not To Recycle Condoms

Well, we shouldn't be having this conversation.

I shouldn't even be writing this post.

But alas, here we are, America.

Seems like we've all had the "birds and the bees" talk. But it also seems like a few of us missed that "don't recycle the birds and the bees" talk.

So gather 'round the campfire friends... It's time for a very scary story about how some people REUSE CONDOMS????!

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention actually had to release this video today to remind us all that washing and reusing condoms IS NOT OKAY!

Now listen, in a weird way we're proud that you guys enjoy safe sex and feel it's important to use condoms.

And we also get that you just paid rent for the month and you're trying to watch your finances.

BUT - you've got to start saving money another way.

Reuse your paper plates. Reuse your zip-lock baggies. You can even reuse your toilet paper! (Actually, don't do that.) But DO NOT REUSE YOUR CONDOMS! They have a very strict one-time-use-only policy.

Oh! I think I have an idea! Throw them away. Now. (What a stupid time to be alive).

Condoms are only effective and safe if you use them the right way. And a very important part of using them, is throwing them away immediately after use.

Hmm.... That's gonna be a no from me.

Check out their other tips on condom use on the CDC's website.
