Security Guard Shot in Las Vegas Massacre Missing

We talked about him last week, the unarmed security guard who was first on the scene at the Las Vegas shooting, was hailed as a hero. Jesus Campos was on patrol, checking out a door on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay casino when he heard gunfire. As he approached the room occupied by Stephen Paddock to investigate, he was shot in the leg - having been seen by cameras set up by Paddock to monitor the hallway.

Interviews were set up, GoFundMe pages were raking in money to cover medical expenses, and just as quickly as the story emerged, Campos went 'missing'.

His story changed twice in those first interviews, and even his union representative says he hadn't seen or heard from Campos in more than four days. Originally he was reported to have gone to visit a QuickCare Clinic but all of the interviews he had scheuled have been canceled and private security is now guarding his home in North Las Vegas.

Campos now hows signs on his property line stating 'No Media Allowed'.

A former security guard for Mandalay Bay says that he has questioned Campos' story from the start. "There was no alarm system for opened doors when I was there," he said, speaking on the condition of anonymity because he was not allowed to discuss security issues. "You know how often people would have to call hotel guests if that was the case?" He refused to give his name.
