Paul Reubens, an actor best known for playing Pee Wee Herman, passed away at the age of 70 following a battle with cancer.
Reubens passed away on Sunday, it was revealed on his official Facebook page, after having "bravely and privately fought cancer for years."
The package also contained the following statement from Reubens: "Please accept my apologies for keeping what I've been going through private for the past six years. I have always felt a tremendous amount of love and respect from my friends, followers, and supporters. I have cherished creating art for everyone of you and have appreciated doing so. With the release of Pee Wee's Big Adventure in the middle of the 1980s, Reubens rose to fame after creating the Pee Wee Herman character in the late 1970s.
