The National Weather Service confirmed an EF0 tornado touched down in the Carson-Compton area in Los Angeles County on Thursday morning as Southern California was experiencing a few wet showers.
- The tornado damaged buildings, vehicles, and even a tree when it stormed through.
- "The EF0 tornado has recorded wind gusts between 65 and 85 mph," according to the NWS’ scale.
- This is not the first time California has seen a tornado hit the area. Back in March, the city of Montebello got hit with a damaging tornado as it left one person with minor injuries.
