Tesla has abruptly reversed the trend and raised pricing on four of its models after reducing prices six times in a bid to attract a wider consumer base.
According to the firm, the Model X Plaid and Model S Plaid now cost $107,490 instead of $104,990. Additionally, according to Tesla executives, the Model X has jumped 2.6 percent to $97,490 and the Model S has increased 2.9 percent to $87,490. All four models are still between 16 and 23 percent less expensive than they were earlier this year, despite the price increases.
Just a few days prior, Tesla reduced the cost of both its long-range and performance Model Y models by $3,000 each.
