The first three months of 2023 were the coolest Phoenix has seen in 25 years, meteorologists say.
- The average temperature for the Arizona city was 57.6 degrees, matching the average for the same period in 1998, according to the National Weather Service.
- What’s more is Phoenix also received a record amount of rain in March, with a total of 1.47 inches, the NWS reports. That tops the normal average by .64 inches. Meanwhile, Flagstaff, Arizona received more rain in March than ever before, topping the old record by a half inch, per the NWS.
