Delta Passenger Deploys Exit Slide

A Delta Air Lines passenger is facing charges after opening one of the plane’s doors and sliding down an emergency exit slide as the plane prepared for takeoff Saturday.

• The plane was reportedly stationary on the runway holding to taxi for takeoff at the Los Angeles International Airport when the passenger exited the aircraft after activating the emergency exit slide.
• Delta re-accommodated passengers on a new aircraft and apologized for the inconvenience and delay in travel plans.
• The FAA is investigating the incident.
