Workers at a North Carolina business that was robbed at gunpoint recognized the suspect as a former employee because her mask slipped off as she was performing the crime, according to authorities.
According to authorities, Natasha Otero, 25, has been arrested in connection with the incident, which occurred in late October at a Gastonia business. The masked lady entered the store, smacked an employee on the head with her gun, and demanded money, according to the Gastonia Police Department. However, Otero's mask slid off her face, disclosing her identify to her old coworkers, according to authorities.
According to authorities, Otero was so upset by the revelation that she fled without any money, leaving her mask and revolver in the store.
