No End In Sight For Jackson's Water Crisis As Residents Line Up For Bottled Water.

  • The city of Jackson in Mississippi is still dealing with a water crisis and bottled water has been distributed to residents
  • The bottled water was distributed today at 10AM and 12:30PM at Fire Station 20. The address is 4445 Medgar Evers Blvd
  • There was a limit of one case of water per vehicle and this is while supplies lasted
  • There is also a boil water notice Friday for Jackson surface water customers because of higher than normal levels of turbidity, or cloudiness in the water supply. This was issued by the Mississippi State Department of Health
  • High levels of turbidity can increase the chance of disease-causing organisms in drinking water
  • Boil the water for at least one minute and that includes water for cooking, brushing your teeth and washing dishes
  • For more information call 601-960-2723 during business hours or 601-960-1875 after 4PM
