Starting on Tuesday, customers will find a new menu board in each of its approximately 21,000 US locations, featuring 12 sandwiches from what the company is referring to as the "Subway Series" menu.
- The updated menu is divided into four sections (Cheesesteaks, Italianos, Chicken, and Clubs), each of which contains three sandwiches.
- All 12 sandwiches are new to the menu, with some essentially replacing earlier models with new names and minor modifications. The Meatball Marinara sandwich is now known as The Boss and has melted mozzarella cheese that was not previously present.
- Subway is giving away up to one million free 6-inch sandwiches from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday to give consumers a taste.
- According to Subway, customers can order the sandwiches by their new names or by their assigned numbers. Sandwiches can be made with bread, wrapped, or served on a bed of lettuce.
- Customers still have the option to select custom settings if they like.
