- After being led on a chase, Boston police officers were surprised to find the driver of the vehicle they'd been pursuing was only 13 years old. And even more surprised to find out he was armed.
- The incident happened on the 4th of July after an officer noticed a vehicle's registration information didn't match the vehicle, according to the Boston Police Department. When the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, the person behind the wheel refused to comply, continuing to drive at a low rate of speed, police say. When he finally pulled over, officers discovered the teen wasn't old enough to drive and frisked him. That prompted a gun -- a loaded .380 Ruger -- to fall from his pants and onto the ground, according to a police report.
- The unidentified teen is facing a number of charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and operation of a motor vehicle without a license, to name a few.
- When you were 13, would you have had any idea where to get a gun?
