The highly-anticipated "Top Gun : Maverick" has broken a record during its opening weekend!
"Top Gun : Maverick" - the sequel to the 1986 "Top Gun" broke a very prestigious record during this holiday weekend - according to Paramount, the film made $156 million domestically.
That makes "Top Gun : Maverick" the biggest opening during a memorial day weekend.
"Top Gun : Maverick" is the third biggest debut of 2022 following, "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" and "The Batman".
This is good news for movie theatres - they took a big hit during the pandemic and are slowly, but surely getting back to where they need to.
As someone who watched the film, I highly recommend you watch it! Its AMAZING!
