A former Minnesota Wild prospect is being hailed as a hero after rescuing a 6-year-old girl from drowning!
Kris Foucault was on the beach in the Bahamas when the girl was swept up in a rip current...
"As I got through the wave, I saw her lifeless body floating on the top about 50 feet in front of me," he said. "I actually thought I was just recovering a body."
Without hesitating, he jumped into the ocean and helped bring the girl back to shore, where a lifeguard was able to peform CPR and resuscitate her.
The 31-year-old Foucault was drafted by the Minnesota Wild in 2009, but only played in one NHL game. He currently plays pro hockey in Germany.
