The FDA has authorized a 2nd booster shot of COVID-19 vaccine for people age 50 and older.
- The authorization applies to both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. The shot can be administered at least four months after the first booster shot, and works no matter which vaccine was taken initially.
- The FDA stopped short of officially recommending a 2nd booster, but said it "could help increase protection levels" for "higher-risk individuals".
- Do you plan to get a 2nd booster? Did you get the first one?
