It's "Canoo" Not "Canoe"

You would think by 2019 we would finally have flying cars. Instead, car companies continue to produce electric cars by the bulk. But have no fear, a startup company called, "Canoo," which is based in Los Angeles has revealed its brand new, dynamic, never before seen vehicle. This new model also goes by the name, "Canoo." Yes, it's pronounced the same as, "canoe," however, the two couldn't be more different. Canoo is an electric car that is is unlike any other. This week, the company tweeted, "Welcome to the new electric...membership not ownership, radically designed, electrically powerful, intentionally different."

Canoo's first model differs from regular electric vehicles because it's "futuristic." Don't be thrown off by the bulkiness of the vehicle or by the fact that it isn't a sports car. This special electric car is meant to be a van and has several unique features. It's box-shaped, which means it can fit more than two passengers. Inside the car, the seats are positioned like a sofa. In addition, the car doors swing out, there's a large cargo space is in the center and it has a rectangular steering wheel. Canoo will also have driver's assistance, safety technologies, and plenty of cameras. Sounds like a great car for the family right?

Here's something interesting, the canoo will only be offered through subscription. If you choose to subscribe, you will pay a monthly fee for registration costs, insurance, maintenance, and charging costs. The downside to this is that subscription monthly fees tend to be a bit pricey. Canoo plans to reach their customers through apps and websites. Once Canoo partners with a contract auto manufacturer, production of the vehicle will begin in 2021. The future is bright because the "canoo" is coming your way!
