Dog owners in Los Angeles County are being warned about canine influenza, a contagious outbreak that came after several infected dogs were imported from China. The highly contagious virus is known as H3N2, and it can cause your pooch (and in rare cases cats) to have a persistent cough that can last 10 to 21 days. Protect your furry friend and get him or her vaccinated at your local vet.
