Bridgette was diagnosed with Pre-B Leukemia just after her third birthday in March 2014. After two years of chemotherapy, this little tough cookie had a spinal fluid relapse. Her parents have been advised to try Car-t cell 19 as a last result - with the hope that it will cure her. The Car-t cell 19 will take Bridgette's own t-cells and turn them into SUPER CANCER KILLING CELLS. It is less aggressive than chemo and a huge improvement from radiation. However, there are only a small amount of hospitals offering the treatment. Bridgette's family will have to commute to Los Angeles and the procedure can leave them in the hospital for up to a month or so. Bridgette's family does not get any financial assistance from the state and they would really appreciate any help or support that they can get to help her finally kick cancer's butt!
