Money Move of the Week: Make a will! Only 1 in 3 Americans actually have a will and that's not great! There are plenty of reasons to have a will, and if you have a straightforward situation, you can find some DIY ways to write your will online. For more complicated situations, you may be better off hiring a financial expert to help you write your will out. So go out and make sure everyone you want to get your money actually get it!
CD laddering: Joel talked about CD laddering today and it's worth looking into! If you're already saving a lot of your money and you want to maximize your medium returns, this might be the move for you. Basically, whatever cash you don't need in liquid assets, you can then move and spread out among a few CDs. Find some with good rates that mature in 6 months, 12 months, and 18 months. That way, you can maximize your returns, but still get some of your money within a few months. A lot of reward with very little risk!
