Blue Dog Beer Tavern’s Paul Scrivano and Erin Scully Join Neil

The Blue Dog Beer Tavern opened its doors in September 2009 and has been a neighborhood institution for over 11 years. Opening in 2009, and quickly becoming a neighborhood institution, Blue Dog Beer Tavern was born out of a love of dogs and Belgian style beer. The area was itching for a good burger joint with down-home vibes, so with labors of love, the early 1940s house-turned-doctor’s office was transformed into a bustling pub-style restaurant. They strive to create a safe, casual, and authentic “tavern/ public house” experience every day.

Paul Scrivano says he “had gotten too fat and too angry.” The restaurant entrepreneur weighed almost 300 pounds at 6 feet, 3 inches. He suffered a heart attack and drastically changed his diet. He got a second chance. Check out his full interview here.

Paul touched our hearts last week when he told us how the pandemic has effected his business. His manager Erin and himself join Neil talks all about his story and the restaurant. Take a listen!

His story turned around! Check out Blue Tavern's website and follow them on Instagram and Facebook.
