The very first Wahoo's Fish Tacos opened in Costa Mesa, California back in 1988. The three Lam brothers (Wing, Ed and Mingo), wanted to create a restaurant that was a unique mix of flavors, just like their heritage...
From China to Brazil, to Baja and a little bit of Greece mixed in, they wanted their tacos to reflect their memories of growing up in Brazil, surfing in Baja, and working in their family's Chinese restaurant. And that's exactly what you'll get!
But thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, the Wahoo's experience has had to make some temporary changes. But don't worry -- there are still ways for you to get your hands on those amazing tacos, all while supporting the small family business!
Wahoo's Fish Tacos remains open for takeout, but if you'd rather stay home, you can order your Wahoo's favorites through either the DoorDash or GrubHub food delivery services. If you do opt for takeout, just make sure you call ahead to place your order.
There's plenty of options for everyone in your quarantine quarters! Check out their menu here.
"At Wahoo’s, we encourage you to nourish yourself with food and experiences that make you feel more alive. So, ride those waves, care for your community, love what you eat every day, and be authentically you. Our family is here to feed yours."
