The “Barbacoa Boyz” started out as a competition BBQ team made up of friends who all share a passion for great food that brings people together. Born in the historically barbecue rich state of Kansas, Pit Master Jay Austin's love of low and slow smoked brisket and pulled pork began at an early age and followed him all the way to California.
Jay started as the Captain of The Barbacoa Boyz Competition BBQ team and carries the torch on today as the owner and operator of The Barbacoa Boyz catering company. What began as friends with a love of BBQ has grown to the point of catering parties and weddings all over California and serving thousands of NFL RAMS and USC Trojan fans inside the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum during the football season.
