Relationships are about skill, not luck. Conflict resolution is the most important skill. Here are some questions you need to ask after a fight so you two can grow together.

1. Reflect: Why did the conflict happened?

2. Rewind: How should the conflict have been handled?

3. Research: How should conflicts generally be dealt with?

4. Teach: How should people generally respond to conflicts in their relationship?

5. Confirm your reasoning. Why does this kind of response makes sense?

6. Make a Plan: What would be most helpful for dealing with future conflicts?

Researchers found that this exercise encourages participants to engage in intentional and constructive self-reflection, become more objective and mindful about their responses in conflicts and better understand how to navigate such situations in the future.
