"God's Influencer" Set to Become First Millennial Saint

Carlo Acutis, an Italian teenager known for his love of video games and devout Catholic faith, is set to become the Catholic Church's first millennial saint. He passed away from leukemia at 15 in 2006 but gained fame for using his computer skills to promote Catholicism, earning the nickname "God's influencer."

His swift path to sainthood includes two recognized miracles, the latest acknowledged by Pope Francis in May. Born in London in 1991 and raised in Italy, Acutis resonates with younger generations for his modern approach to faith, creating a website to document miracles and helping the homeless in Milan.

Acutis was beatified in 2020 after reportedly healing a Brazilian boy and will be canonized during the Church's jubilee year celebrations in 2025, allowing parishes and schools worldwide to honor him annually. His mother, Antonia Salzano, sees him as a symbol of hope, showing holiness is achievable in today's digital age.
