People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is sticking up for the turkeys. The animal rights group has released a commercial for the holidays featuring Toby the turkey’s narrow escape from the Thanksgiving table. The ad shows Toby seated at the Christmas table instead of on top of it. PETA says eating turkeys for holiday dinners is an out-of-touch tradition and is urging people to spread kindness and goodwill to ALL this festive season!
“Turkeys like Toby are gentle, gracious and gregarious individuals, and each one has a story that should not end on a fork,” said Mimi Bekhechi, vice-president at Peta.
