CNN is reporting that former President Trump is considering releasing surveillance footage from the raid of his Mar-a-Lago home earlier this month.
The news outlet claims that some of Trump's allies have encouraged him to make the footage public, because it could be a boost to the Republican Party's base.
One source said there had been discussions about using the footage in campaign-style ads to "bolster Trump's claims of political persecution."
However, not everyone in Trump's circle is on board.
CNN reported that several people have warned him of the potential risks of releasing the footage it would provide a visual understanding of the sheer amount of files seized.
