DC’s New Superman Will Come Out as Bisexual in New Comic Set to Hit Shelves

In a historic reveal, DC announced Monday that its newest Superman will come out as bisexual. His name is Jon Kent, and he’s the son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. He and reporter Jay Nakamura will have a romantic relationship in the latest edition of the comic.

“Just like his father before him, Jon Kent has fallen for a reporter,” said the publisher on Twitter.

DC continues to make waves of changes in its Universe. More recently, Robin – Batman’s sidekick – came out as bisexual. He joins the ranks of Batwoman, Harley Quinn and the first Green Lantern, Alan Scott.

Notably, Monday marked National Coming Out Day, setting the stage for DC to make their announcement. President Biden recognized the day by encouraging LGBTQ+ Americans to continue to live their lives with pride.
