An unfortunate accident happened during a game between the Chicago Cubs and Houston Astros.
A little girl was hit by a foul ball and had to be transported to a local hospital.
The ball came from the Cubs' Albert Almora Jr. who, upon see what happened became visibly upset.
Around him, both Cubs and Astros players were near tears and Almora had to take a few moments away to compose himself.
In the bottom half of the inning, Almora went over to the section where the child was hit and then broke down in tears and was held by a member of the security staff.
According to people around the little girl, she was concious and alert and as ESPN's Jesse Rogers later reported, her initial prognosis is positive.
