This is pretty on the nose for a case of cruel and unusual punishment.
A man from Hawaii has been ordered to not only 100 hours of community service and a $100 fine...
He's also been court ordered to avoid his favorite soft drink while serving out his probation.
Christopher Montilliano Jr was sentenced for stealing a car from a Maui gas station back in June.
When confronted by cops, the 21-year-old told them he just took the car out to buy his favorite soda, Pepsi.
The reason for the odd addition is that the judge says was because Montilliano lied to police about taking the car to buy soda rather than admit he stole the vehicle.
