Some Gov't Workers Say They Still Haven't Been Paid After Shutdown Ended

The longest government shutdown may have ended almost two weeks ago, but many federal employees say it's still an ongoing problem for them.

Even though they were promised back pay as soon as Congress and the President agreed on a budget, payroll glitches and other delays have slowed the agencies from paying them back.

Food safety inspector with the Department of Agriculture, Michael Walter told the AP that he just got paid this week, but many of his co-workers are still waiting to receive something.

The situation is present in other parts of the government as well, including the IRS, Department of the Interior, NASA, the Census Bureau, and FAA.
