Dogs, cats and pets of all kinds are gearing up to meet Saint Nick at several Southern California malls.
One of many malls allowing four-legged family members to take photos with Santa is The Oaks at Thousand Oaks.
Senior marketing manager Tish Cabezas says she wants all the furry pals to be included in the family fun.
“We love our furry family members, and Thousand Oaks has so many families with pets that are members of the family, so we wanted to accommodate that.”

In the San Fernando Valley:
The Oaks: Santa Paws, a partnership with HGTV, takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays – Nov. 29, Dec. 6 and Dec. 13 – at the cable channel’s Santa HQ experience in the JCPenney Court. Photos are open to dogs and cats only, and no reservations are required, though pet owners can reserve a spot at santa-hq.com. 350 W. The Shops at Montebello: Santa Pet Photos take place after the mall closes, from 8:30-9:30 p.m. (or until the last pet gets photographed) Sunday, Dec. 3. It mostly attracts dog owners, but it’s open to all pets. Last year a boy brought along his gecko. Registration is required so organizers know how many pets to expect.
