Yesterday, a driverless shuttle bus made its debut in Las Vegas and dozens of people lined up to give it a try.
But just two hours later, the shuttle was disabled after it was involved in an accident.
BUT WAIT! IT'S NOT THE ROBOT'S FAULT! A truck driver with a human behind its wheel was at fault.
In a statement, the city said:
"The shuttle did what it was supposed to do, in that its sensors registered the truck and the shuttle stopped to avoid the accident. Unfortunately, the delivery truck did not stop and grazed the front fender of the shuttle. Had the truck had the same sensing equipment that the shuttle has the accident would have been avoided."
Las Vegas police say there were no injures and the truck driver was cited for 'illegal backing'
