LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the 18th consecutive day, falling four-tenths of a cent to $3.305 -- its lowest amount since Jan. 23.
The average price has dropped 12.3 cents over the streak, including a half-cent on Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 4.6 cents less than one week ago,13.2 cents lower than one month ago, but 5.7 cents higher than one year ago.
The Orange County average price remained the same at $3.266, ending a streak of 23 consecutive decreases. The Orange County average price is also the lowest it's been since Jan. 23.
It is 4.3 cents less than one week ago, 11.2 cents lower than one month ago, but 5.1 cents higher than one year ago.
