We all know the homeless epidemic in Los Angeles County is out of control, and while some of those living on the street don't want help, there are people who legitimately want and need the help to get back on their feet. It feels impossible to help them all, but Mother Teresa famously said:
"If you can't feed a hundred people, then just feed ONE."
Helping just ONE person is something we can all do.
Union Rescue Mission is the only Skid Row organization that welcomes children & families in downtown Los Angeles and they have committed to take part in the Just Help 1 challenge and go Over the Edge to bring awareness and hope to those suffering. We mean, LITERALLY go over the edge.
Amy King and Neil Saavedra want YOU to join them to help just one struggling neighbor by rappelling 25 stories down from the roof of the Hilton Los Angeles / Universal City Hotel on September 27th. You can donate any amount to their effort, BUT if you donate $1,000, you get the opportunity to rappel WITH Amy & Neil and help get one more person, family or child off the street for good.
