17-Year-Old Walks 1,600 Miles for Social Security Reform

This morning on Wake Up Call With Amy King, we had the pleasure of speaking with an inspiring young man, Eliseo Jimenez, who's on a mission to raise awareness about Social Security.

At just 17 years old, Eliseo is walking over 1,600 miles from Lubbock, Texas, to Washington, D.C. His journey began after witnessing his grandmother and neighbors struggle with limited benefits from Social Security.

Despite the grueling summer heat and loneliness, Eliseo remains determined to make it to D.C. and push for much-needed reforms. His charity foundation, New Life Foundation is aimed at "helping our community thrive by providing essential resources to struggling individuals, including senior citizens and disabled individuals."

Check out their website and their Facebook page.

You can find more information about Eliseo at his GoFundMe Page or his Instagram, and check out his interview with Amy below!
