Dog owners rejoice! BARK, the company known for its dog food and toys, has launched BARK Air, an airline exclusively designed for dogs to travel comfortably with their owners.

The inaugural flight from New York to Los Angeles has already sold out, highlighting significant demand for this service.

Tickets are priced at $6,000 for New York to Los Angeles and $8,000 for New York to London, covering both the dog and their human companion. BARK aims to lower these costs over time to make pet travel more affordable.

According to Time Magazine, the airline emphasizes the comfort and happiness of dogs, providing an in-flight experience where canine passengers can socialize, enjoy treats, wear noise-canceling ear muffs, and have access to relief areas. Emergency pads are also available for any in-flight needs. BARK Air currently operates routes between New York, Los Angeles, and London, with plans to expand further.

Using Gulfstream G5 jets, each flight can accommodate 15 dogs and their owners, but only 10 tickets are sold per flight to ensure ample space. There are no restrictions on dog size or breed, making the service accessible to all. BARK views this launch as the first step towards their vision of dog-first travel.
