A California woman has been charged with the murders of her sister and a three-week-old child niece.

  • Authorities say a California woman and her boyfriend were charged on Monday, November 14, for fatally shooting her 18-year-old sister and 3-week-old niece in their Fresno home on September 24 due to envy and sibling rivalry.
  • According to a statement from the Fresno County District Attorney's Office, Yarelly Solorio-Rivera, 22, and Martin Arroyo-Morales, 26, were each charged with two counts of murder and a special circumstance of multiple murders in connection with the deaths of Yanelly Solorio-Rivera and her child, Celine.
  • Two more charges of "personal and intentional discharge of a firearm causing death" were brought against Yarelly. They could be sentenced to death or life without the possibility of parole if found guilty of all charges.
