Disney says it has apologized to a couple whose now-viral marriage proposal was stopped by an employee.
The video shows a man getting on one knee to propose to his girlfriend on top of a platform in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Paris.
Right as the woman appears to accept the proposal, an employee rushes up, snatches the ring box out of the man's hands and ushers the couple to exit the platform as onlookers boo him.
A Disney spokesperson said, "We regret how this was handled. We have apologized to the couple involved and offered to make it right."
Newsweek reported that a friend of the couple says the man had gotten permission to propose on the platform from another employee.
However in a French tabloid, a relative of the interrupting employee says the platform is off limits because it is used for fireworks and the couple was warned to stay off beforehand.
