Home Depot Bans Glendora Couple After Protests Outside Store

A Glendora couple claims Home Depot has banned and threatened them with arrest after they staged a protest outside one of the stores.

Liz and Robert Didier say subcontractors that were hired by Home Depot had installed doors and windows wrong and had them stop working so they can ask the company for an exchange.

"They kept saying they were going to come out and look at it. One day they did send three guys out. All they told us was, 'We'll take care of it. You'll be happy when we're done.' We never heard from them, never heard from them again."

Liz says it was then they decided to stage their small demonstration in the Glendora location's parking lot.

They attached poster boards to their truck that criticized the chain's corporate management and after a while the store called the police on the Didiers.

A notice given to Liz says that they were banned from all Home Depots for three years and would be arrested if she did.

ABC7 picked up the story and when they reached out to Home Depot, the company issued this statement:

"Unfortunately, Ms. Didier demanded the subcontractors leave her home so they were unable to complete the work. Despite that, we've offered her a refund for the work that's not finished and we have repeatedly agreed to significant refunds for projects and purchases over the years."
