Georgia officials arrested former Trump campaign lawyer Rudy Giuliani on Wednesday as part of the state's investigation into the 2020 presidential election.
investigators said the ex-New York City mayor was arrested after voluntarily surrendering to investigators, who charged him on 13 offences connected to an effort to overturn the 2020 election. He was later released with conditions on a $150,000 bond. According to his lawyer, John Esposito, Giuliani has been prohibited from intimidating or interacting with witnesses or co-defendants, and he must check in with Pretrial Services every 30 days.
In discussions with Georgia lawmakers, Giuliani is accused of fabricating false charges of election fraud, claiming that felons and dead voters cast ballots and mail-in ballots were erroneously tabulated. He's been charged with three counts of racketeering.
