In southwest Australia, a man who may have been keeping a wild kangaroo as a pet was murdered by it, according to authorities on Tuesday. Australia has not seen a fatal kangaroo attack since 1936.
A family member discovered the 77-year-old on Sunday at his Redmond home with "serious injuries". A report stated, the man later passed away from the wounds he had in the incident earlier that day.
The kangaroo was preventing the paramedics from getting to the victim to provide treatment, so the police had no alternative but to fire and kill it.
