Swingers party results in wife attacking husband with minivan

(Amber Schomaker - Bay County Sheriff)

Last week a swingers party got violent when a jealous wife drunkenly tried to run over her husband with a minivan.

28-year-old Amber Schomaker and her 33-year-old husband were among the guests invited to the swingers party at a home in Bay City, Michigan.

Schomaker was getting cozy with the fiancé of the female host, but soon became enraged when she saw her husband disappear with the host.

When the husband came downstairs, Schomaker slapped him and bolted outside. Everyone followed her outside where she hopped into the minivan and floored it towards them.

Both men managed to leap out of the way and avoid getting mowed down. Shomaker drove away, but she returned a few minutes later to attack her husband.

She left him bleeding from the mouth with a deep cut on his forehead, scratch marks, and a bite mark on his shoulder.

Police showed up and found a drunken Schomaker attempting to open the house's front door with a screwdriver. She also had a scratch down her back and had a swollen cheek.

Schomaker's blood-alcohol content was 0.156, nearly twice the legal limit to drive. Both Schomaker and her husband were arrested after it was discovered that he may have violated a personal protection order his wife had against him.

She was booked in Bay County Jail on $35,000 bail. Schomaker's looking at charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, domestic violence, and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
