Woman finds frog in salad box from Target, keeps it as pet

Becky Garfinkel was about halfway done eating a salad she had purchased at Target, when she noticed something moving. She told ABC 7:

"As I'm pulling to go stab another bite, I see a frog sitting in my salad plate after I've eaten almost the entire salad. Completely freaked out - screamed. I threw up afterward because I was traumatized. I'm a vegetarian and I couldn't believe there was a frog in there."

Becky quickly scooped up the tiny frog, rinsed it off, and realized that it was barely alive:

"(My husband) noticed that he was kind of not moving a lot and he rolled over. So he decides, let's do some chest compressions. With his finger - I'm not kidding you - barely pushes on the little frog and he breathes and turns around. I'm like OK. We have to keep him."

The frog found its way into a box of Taylor Farms baby spring salad mix, which Becky bought at the Target on Tuscany Street in Corona.

She reached out to Target. The company said it is looking into the issue and is contacting Taylor Farms. Target also offered Becky a $5 gift card.

5 bucks, that's it? She almost ate a frog!

Becky and her husband decided to keep the frog, now named "Lucky," as a pet. She also made it clear that she won't be eating salad any time soon:

"I will tell you right now, I have no desire to ever eat a salad again. I'm petrified of the thought of a salad."
